Baby Steps

Watch the video
OK...superglue and sculpey make good crutches when in a jam :) Here's a few walking tests...I really like what I'm seeing so far, the little girl is coming alive slowly, and the tests are starting to look more and more like real footage...i'm lovin' the tie-downs, though my aching index finger & thumb aren't...

AWESOME!!!

Your animation is improving dramatically... I love the look of everything, the somewhat cartoony but still real feel. Love the shot where she retreats into the shadow! I must say I prefer the atmospheric, shadowy shots over the more sunlit ones for this film. Not sure if you're planning on using both.

I think what I like the most though is the sets! I've been wanting to make more "sculpted" terrian, but so far my sets are pretty drab and flattish.

"The hills are alive....." Ok, sorry, no singing.

I also love the retreat into the shadow. Very nice work.

Sing away! Light vs dark, I've always pictured the story unfolding during the day but I love the shadows and dark shots, so I'm leaving that open for now, probably won't decide on anything until the sets are built and ready to go...planned on the underwater scenes being the dark and shadowy bits...I like the big set pieces, and I like being able to set them up differently for each shot, so that's something I want to maintain in the finished film also, but it might be a problem continuity-wise...will require careful planning...
Thanks DG, and welcome!
