A Retrospective (& finally......a name)

Watch the video

Maybe its a little early to take a look back, but I couldn't resist.  Here are all of my test clips from the first four months of Jenny...all of these frames and bits are about to be stored to disk, to make room for the next four months ;)...thrilled with my progress...

Major side note:  I've finally had an epiphany regarding the little girl's name...seemed a little obvious at first, especially regarding the Katrina metaphor, but it snagged a little piece of my brain and won't let go, so here it is......Nola.

Great name for the girl character. I really hope you can get this finished by next year's Red Stick, it would be a great venue to tell this story. If you ever need anything dont hesitate to call or email. See you around man.

Hey Jeffery! This was great to see all your Jenny clips in one go, congratulations on all this work, I loved the choice of music too. My favorites were the fish leaping and the flower picking at the end.

Thanks for posting your compilation. That's a great idea. I saw some clips that I had missed (or maybe they were new). Keep up the good work.

Thanks folks...hopefully the next compilation will see me just about ready to start filming...but probably not :)...

Shelley--That last little clip is actually Nola tossing a stone, but the flower-picking has me thinking of Frankenstein...which works b/c I realize now that my vision for the stone-tossing scene owes a lot to that original poor unfortunate flower picker :D...its always nice to identify subconscious inspirations...

Hi. I am a friend of Eddie Hoffman, my name is Ryan. I am a professional Motion Graphics artist and Producer. I am working on a short film called the 'Killer Colossal Squid'. We have a flashback scene in this film that requires a Giant Cyclops that I would want to do with Stop-Motion to give it a 1950's era feel. It is a short segment. Please check out my website.

There are many video examples, if you look under 'pictures' you will see some of my sculptures also. I have done Stop-Mo before (there is an example on the site)but I really like your stuff and frankly I'm fascinated that someone is doing this locally. Give me a call if you get a minute.
