Holy Freholies, you gotta be kidding me?! Woody looks awesome! He moves the best of any of your puppets so far, doncha think?! Is it great to move? Looks like your best film yet, J!!
I've got butterflies in my stomach, man. Half of me wants to kiss you; the other half wants to slap you. I am so freakin' envious and proud of you! That's my childhood dream you just done!
Ohhh... I'm beginning to realize that while I'm still invested in pursuing Dragon Skin, I'm probably going to have to give foam a whirl, too. Having seen this clip, there's just no way I can forego the foamy goodness...
I would think carefully about the teeth...that wonderful BIG mouth movement rocks, and maybe with giant teeth you won't be able to do it...Just a thought
Yeah, she keeps me in line ;P Ladyroche, no longer a lurker :D Thanks babe....
And thanks everybody! Ale & Mike....yep, he's mouthy.....lovin' the mouthiness....maybe lovin' it too much to include the teeth...I'm trying to work out a way to keep that mouthiness AND give him teeth....dilemmas dilemmas :) Shelley, he definitely animates the best of my pups so far, and he's so LIGHT!! Svengali, silicone? What silicone?! :) I'm in love with foam.....absolutely...you should try it out....I think your mixer-condom would work fine, by the way.... Mark, I used the same armature that I sculpted over, there's a pic in a post below (11-15) that shows it lying in the mold...I was a little worried about how the lower jaw would animate but it turned out great....
Phenomenal work, Jeffrey. I still can't believe your first try with foam was successful, you are so lucky (I think I hate you for that... just a bit), foam can be such a pain.
Hi Jeffrey, I really like your clip. If I may, I do have some suggestions. First is if he is a tree beast, you might want to make the background trees much smaller. He's the smallest tree :)
Second, to make the puppet appear more massive, lower your camera closer to the floor of the set and fill the screen up with him. That should make him a lot scarier.
Thanks for the comments Marc, and welcome to the blog! LIO had the very same suggestions for me on the SMA board, as far as camera placement....now if I can just get my set done, I can try it out!

Wow Tree beast is looking great, love the painting job.
I don't remember seeing any wire in your foam session? Did I miss it?
