Tonight I learned something......Jenny has eyelids :) I put a blob of liquid latex in the right socket, pressed the eye in, and shaped the latex with a tiny brush and a wooden sculpting tool.....should set up overnight...
I am so freakin' envious... You & jriggity have convinced me that I'm going to need to try foam latex soon. (Probably for my next SMS submission -- which'll probably be the Sept deadline.)
Have you considered using a sponge for applying some of the painted texture? I can imagine how dappling might add to the mossy/rotting look.
I'm wondering how this looks in black and white. That's still the plan, yes? With color superimposed on certain bits?
Thanks peeps....Sven, yes, b/w with green selectively underwater....Jenny will actually be a slightly desaturated green on land, but not completely b/w...Nola and the rest of the land/pier set, b/w.....thats the plan for now anyway, of course I'll know more once I'm working with footage...it'll all be filmed in color and digitally manipulated....
And yes, foam....I love it, I really do....I'd marry it if I were a polygamist :)
