The cemetery set will be populated with ghosts, watching Herbie as he makes his way to a particular grave...they won't do much, and so, are very simplistic puppet-wise....no legs or hands, just stumpy little armatured arms and necks with Sculpey heads, attached to tie-downs with a single strand of armature wire....I haven't completely decided on the technique I'll use to make them transparent, but right now the plan is to shoot them in front of a greenscreen and plug them into the footage...tests coming soon.....

EXCITING!~ and theatrical! Love these!
Oh! I like them! My brain's already thinking: Opacity 50%... Luminosity 150%... Gaussian blur 2 pixels...
Does Sony Vegas have those sorts of controls?
creeeeeeepie......
ooo, scary! they're going to look great!
Now thats pretty freakin cool!
jriggity
Thanks folks!
Svengali, yup! I'm also considering tacking on a circular feathered cookie cutter around each ghost, so that I can fade them out completely at the feet...test coming tonight, hopefully :)
Oh, and, Shelley....theatrical, definitely....maybe even Taymor-esque? :)
Love the ghosties! Set pieces are great too!
Your compositing layers are making my brain hurt though...
Great to see so much happening.
Thanks Nick! :)
